On Saturday, April 26, the Dutch celebrated their King Willem-Alexander on "Koningsdag". As a certified Euregio school, Gronau Comprehensive School made its contribution to the official celebrations in Doetinchem in the form of colorfully painted wooden birds.

What a finale! The last week of school before the Easter vacations was quite something - especially for our school leavers.

As part of the International Weeks against Racism, our pupils sent out a strong signal for diversity, respect and cohesion. Together with other schools in the city, they marched to the church square - for a colorful and open society.

"Leer je buren kennen" - this was the motto under which pupils from our Dutch partner school "De Troubadour" in Glanerbrug and our pupils from the WP Dutch course came together last Monday, 10.02.205.

Once again this year, pupils at our school were able to experience politics live: The junior election took place again as part of the 2025 federal election. This project was organized and carried out by the additional social sciences course in Q2 under the direction of Mr Nöthe.

Despite absences due to illness, Gronau Comprehensive School put in a strong performance at the Gronau schools' swimming competition on February 21, 2025.

At the winter tournaments from 04.02.25 to 06.02.25, classes from grades 5 to 10 competed in basketball, tchoukball and dodgeball.

On January 10, 2025, an exciting cross-grade and cross-curricular project took place at the Gronau Comprehensive School, in which Ms. Hemker's EF Computer Science, Mr. Rehers' Q1 Physics and Mr. Fenke's Q2 Physics courses took part.

On January 16 and 17, 2025, the auditorium of Gronau Comprehensive School was transformed into a glamorous ballroom when the Q2 students presented their eagerly awaited late-night show under the motto "Abistocracy - the nobility asks for the last dance".
