On Friday, June 26, 2026, the traditional school swimming meet for Gronau’s schools took place at the Gronau Park Outdoor Pool. Despite midsummer temperatures and numerous absences due to illness or the heat, the team from Gronau Comprehensive School showed great dedication and impressed with outstanding performances.
A particular highlight was the victory of the boys' relay team, which prevailed over the competition with a strong team effort. With great team spirit and plenty of motivation, the boys swam their way to a well-deserved first-place finish.
In the individual competitions as well, numerous students from the Gronau Comprehensive School performed impressively and secured several podium finishes. These strong results played a major role in the school ultimately placing an outstanding third in the overall standings among all participating schools.
Given the challenging conditions—with temperatures well above 35 degrees—this result is particularly remarkable. All participants demonstrated endurance and great athletic determination.
The school community extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the swimmers on their achievements and thanks the organizers for a successful day of competition.
