These royal birds were sawed out and colored by diligent pupils before they made their way to Doetinchem, where they decorated the official course. The idea for this beautiful intercultural activity came from the municipality of Doetinchem, which hosted the official celebrations this year.
Naturally, our school did not miss the opportunity to bring this important part of everyday Dutch culture closer to its pupils as part of King's Day. This holiday was not only discussed in class, but Year 7 also sold typical sweets and baked goods from our neighbors in the Euregio during the breaks with the kind support of many parents.
This "Preview Koningsdag" was a complete success and we are already looking forward to next year's King's Day.
Groetjes en tot ziens!
