Final trip to Paris

After the long bus journey, we arrived in the French capital on Monday afternoon. Particularly exciting: the 2024 Paralympic Games were taking place in Paris at the same time, which gave the city a very special atmosphere. There were sporting competitions and festivities everywhere, which made the already lively city even more exciting.

During our days in Paris, we visited many of the famous sights that the city has to offer. The Eiffel Tower, which we admired from many perspectives (and took countless photos), was of course one of the major highlights.

On Tuesday, we went on a trip to Versailles, where we explored the magnificent palace and its huge gardens. It was impressive to immerse ourselves in this historical world. A visit to the Louvre, where we marveled at the world-famous Mona Lisa, and a walk along the Champs-Élysées allowed us to experience the special flair of the city at first hand.

The visit to the catacombs of Paris was a special experience. These mysterious, underground corridors showed us a completely different side of the city and left many of us with lasting impressions. These days created countless shared memories that will accompany us throughout our final year.

The crowning glory of our trip took place on Thursday evening: Over dinner together in a typical French restaurant, right at the foot of the Sacré-Cœur church, we not only enjoyed the delicious French cuisine, but also the view of Paris lit up at night. The festive atmosphere in the city, characterized by the Paralympics, and our own experiences made this evening something very special.

On Friday evening, exhausted but happy, we returned to Gronau at 9 pm. We will all remember this class trip as one of the great highlights of our final year. Not only did it bring us closer together as a class, but it also showed us how valuable it is to spend time together with friends.
