After a musical opening and the welcoming of our guests, who came from six schools from Münster and the Münsterland region, the 16 debaters in age group I (grades 8 to 10) and the 12 debaters in age group II (upper school) impressed in several qualifying rounds with clear positions, well-founded arguments and fair, respectful interaction with each other.
In the subsequent final debates, which took place in the auditorium in front of an audience, the four highest-scoring debaters from the qualifying rounds in each age group faced each other. They once again demonstrated their argumentative skills in particularly challenging and lively debates.
The competition day concluded with the award ceremony, at which the two best debaters from each age group were recognized for their outstanding performances. They have thus qualified for the regional winners' seminar and subsequently for the state qualification at the Ruhr University Bochum.
