Art project "An object for life"

Pupils in Years 7b and 10b took part in a special art project with the artist Roy Mordechay. Under the title "An object for life", they dealt with a moving question: Imagine you had to leave your home - perhaps forever - and were only allowed to take a single object with you.

On this basis, the pupils created individual pictures of objects that have a special meaning for them personally - whether for emotional, practical or memory-related reasons. This resulted in diverse and creative works that reflect personal stories and perspectives.

Roy Mordechay is now assembling the finished pictures into a large mosaic. This work of art will adorn the garden of the new Haus Lebenstein at the old synagogue in Epe and enrich the site in a special way.

The project combined artistic work with empathy, imagination and reflection on home, memory and loss. We are proud of the commitment and creative results of our pupils and would like to thank Roy Mordechay for the inspiring collaboration.
